Dr. Denise Reading will lead participants through a process of exploring personal options in the midst of disruption. Whether you are a current student or recent graduate, a mid-level career woman, or close to retirement, the changes brought on by COVID-19 are forcing many to re-think your future, especially your careers and education. How do you go about making personal change during times of chaos? What are your options? How do you make informed decisions that will lead to a better outlook for 2021? In this session you will:

  • Assess your own core values, aptitudes, and interests
  • Identify your personal blockers and barriers

Dr. Reading is the CEO of LDR Worldwide, a leader in delivering learning solutions to companies across the US and around the world. She was recently recognized as an Outstanding Woman Tech Founder by the Midwest Women in Tech organization. Dr. Reading is also CEO of futureplans.com, a career program that ties people’s talents, education, interests and values to in-demand careers. 

She founded Global Corporate College, which builds relationships between Fortune 500 executives and educators to build worker skills – for which she was recognized as Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young Ohio. Dr. Reading was part of the China-United States Educational Partnership, where she worked with the Chinese government to support behavioral skill development in graduates. Dr. Reading also served as the President of Corporate College at Cuyahoga Community College and had a distinguished career at Baldwin-Wallace University, where she served in numerous roles including VP of Student Affairs.
